    Marketdata Enterprises has been tracking and analyzing weight loss programs and the American weight loss “market” since 1989.  John LaRosa is the founder and President of Marketdata, established in 1979. He has personally researched and authored more than 100 major market and industry studies related to a wide variety of service sectors, with a specialty in the weight loss market since 1989. He continues to write articles for trade magazines such as The Bariatrician and WLS Lifestyles – journals focused on medical weight loss programs.

   He and Marketdata are frequently quoted by all major media and Mr. LaRosa has performed consulting projects and custom research for Fortune 500 weight loss companies, entrepreneurs, Wall Street analysts, medical and commercial weight loss chains, MDs and entrepreneurs. He also conducts frequent conference calls with Wall Street stock analysts, concerning the publicly owned diet companies.

   Mr. LaRosa is the creator of several weight loss information/review websites: BestDietForMe.com and DietBusinessWatch.com. He is a speaker at various weight loss conferences. BestDietForMe.com has provided a FREE analysis for consumers since 2003. More than 1 million persons have taken the "Top 60 Diet Quiz", a comprehensive online weight loss survey which automatically searches a database of 60 legitimate and well-known diet programs and matches them up with the lifestyle, budget, food and exercise preferences of online dieters, based on how they respond to the questions in real time. Susan Burke March, MS, RD, LD/N, CDE

    

   Susan Burke March, is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator. She is a consultant to weight management companies, and a committed professional counselor dedicated to helping people learn strategies to improve their health and accomplish their weight goals.

     Her professional initiatives reflect her passion for healthy living and smart weight management. She is the author of Making Weight Control Second Nature: Living Thin Naturally (2009) as well as the Study Guide, providing health professionals with 26 CPEUS.  She has recently authored the Study Guide for Nutrition for Cancer Survivors (2011).  During her career she has authored hundreds of consumer articles and has been a featured guest on radio and television, as well as appearing as a weight management expert at professional conferences and symposia.

     She had a multi-year and faceted tenure with e-Health leader eDiets.com. As Vice President of Nutrition Services and Chief Nutritionist, she managed the creation and administration of the technology-enabled nutritional and wellness components of eDiets’ products, programs and services.  She also led the development of the Glycemic Impact, Mediterranean, Vegetarian and other personalized weight management programs.

     Susan earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nutrition and Exercise Sciences and Education from Queens College in New York City. She is a registered dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LD/N) in the state of Florida. Susan is a certified diabetes educator (CDE), with advanced certificates in Adult Level 1 and 2 Weight Management, and Childhood & Adolescent Weight Management. She has served as Chief Clinical Nutrition Manager at Mt. Sinai Hospital of Queens, New York.  Since 2007 Susan has served as an executive committee member of the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group, (WM DPG), a practice-specialty group of the American Dietetic Association.  Susan is also a media spokesperson for the Florida Dietetic Association.
